I never planned to become obsessed with home repair—it happened after buying a 1940s fixer-upper that needed everything. Over a decade later, I've rewired rooms, rebuilt bathrooms, and learned that YouTube tutorials only get you halfway there. My background in architecture gives me an eye for what's possible, but my real education came from getting my hands dirty. I write for the person standing in the hardware store aisle, overwhelmed but determined. Outside of home projects, I'm an amateur ceramicist who breaks more pieces than she keeps.
